Project 3- Title sequence of a film

Aim of this title sequence:

I will create a title sequence for a film that I will call FlashForward.

My inspiration comes from the actual ABC drama of FlashForward (shown on channel Five in the UK), which is about a city that experiences a blackout at the same time. They all have a flash forward, where they see things about the future which worries them. I will adapt this storyline, but make it more of a hybrid genre, mixing elements of  horror/thriller/adventure and sci-fi.

I plan to incorporate my own title design and use images not related to the actual drama. Depending on which image I choose, I will try to take my own- if not, I will use related images from the internet. I will create these, using Adobe Photoshop. For example, it could be images of a city in destruction or of an eye, or a video clip of flashbacks etc. For the audio, I will search for dramatic, suspense building music, and relate back to the actual trailer of FlashForward to see how I can develop this. I will edit any sound in Adobe Soundbooth an WavePad sound editor. I will create the main content of this title sequence using Adobe After Effects.

I want this title sequence to be fast paced, yet simultaneously building and sustaining a degree of suspense. Hopefully, with the audio, text and images- I can create a title sequence that instantly grabs the viewer and puts them in a position of the unknown- because they won’t know what’s coming next, or the film has in store.

This film would feature in the cinema, and then after that be released on DVD and previewed on Sky Box Office, and then have a regular repeated schedule on Sky on the Action and Thriller channel, or the Sci-Fi  and Horror channel.
